EPS Science Macabe wins Regional Gawad Dangal ng Bayan Award

A key figure in the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) and a pioneer of various impactful community projects, Education Program Supervisor for Science Dr. Jemnah A. Macabe of SDO Masbate City has been recognized as this year’s Regional Winner of the prestigious Gawad Dangal ng Bayan Award.

Conferred by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Regional Office in Legazpi City on October 14, 2025, the award honors government employees who exemplify integrity, excellence, and dedication in public service. Ma’am Macabe was lauded for her positive influence in the workplace and in the broader community.

Dr. Macabe led projects such as the establishment of the City of Masbate Science High School, creation of LAPAY Multimedia team and the construction of LAPAY Multimedia Studio, and initiated projects such as BURABOD, CARE, INSPIRE, and STEP UP. She embodies hope and resilience and exemplifies outstanding work values, serving as an inspiration to those who want to create a ripple of change and a positive impact on society.

Present during the awarding ceremony were Regional Director and fellow awardee Gilbert T. Sadsad, Assistant Regional Director Bebiano I. Sentillas, Schools Division Superintendent Nelson S. Morales Jr., CID Chief Francy R. Valdemoro, CSC Regional Director Atty. Daisy Punzalan-Bragais, CSC Masbate Provincial Director Jocelyn Marifosque, Prosecutor Apolinario M. Macabe Jr. (Ma’am Macabe’s husband), and other awardees from across the Bicol Region.
